Discovering a greater freedom in how we meet life

Next workshop: Sat 26 September 2026, 10.00–12.00 UK time

How we meet life matters

We all develop ways of seeing, feeling and responding to life. Much of the time, these patterns become so familiar that we barely notice them — until life brings something we would rather not have to face, or simply until our curiosity leads us to wonder whether there might be another way of seeing or responding.

The monthly Saturday morning workshops offer a quiet space to pause and take a closer look at how we experience and respond to life.

Each month, we explore a different theme — something we may already recognise in our own lives, but which can also invite us to look a little deeper. Through guided practice, a talk, reflection and shared exploration, we have the opportunity to look at these familiar experiences more closely and to see them from a fresh perspective.

The intention is not simply to understand something intellectually, but to become more curious about how we see, respond, relate and live — and to explore what might become possible when we meet our experience with greater clarity and care.

Each workshop stands on its own, so you are very welcome to join for a single session or to come regularly.

No previous experience is needed. Whether you are completely new to practice or already have some experience with mindfulness or meditation, you are very welcome.

In many ways, each morning is a simple invitation to pause, notice what is here, and give ourselves the space to look a little more closely.

Life inevitably brings disappointment, difficulty and things we cannot control.

What happens when we begin to look more closely at the ways we struggle with what is happening?

What Keeps Us from Being Here

Wanting, resisting, feeling flat, being restless, and doubting can all pull us away from what is happening now.

What happens when we begin to recognise these patterns without immediately trying to get rid of them?

Who Is the “I” in All This?

So much of our experience quickly becomes “me”, “my problem”, “my success” or “my story”.

What happens when we become curious about how this sense of self is created, moment by moment?

Nothing Stays the Same

Everything we experience is changing — our bodies, feelings, relationships, circumstances and even our sense of who we are.

What happens when we begin to meet change more directly, rather than resist it?

  • A Space to Be

"Without Susann's ability to move so naturally between different aspects of her personality and different roles as teacher and guide, I don't think this process would have been possible for me.

Her way of teaching allowed me to immerse myself in the teachings and practice, and trust the process more deeply."

  • Intuitive & Sensitive

"Susann is intuitive and deeply sensitive. She reflects and guides with a real understanding of the person in front of her.

There is a coherence to the way she teaches, and each session feels carefully attuned to what is needed in the moment."

  • Clarity & Humour

"Susann embodies what she teaches. I love her clarity, her examples and the very clear instructions she gives for things that can sometimes be difficult to understand.

Her sense of humour is a great gift to the teachings.”

Come for a single workshop or join us for the whole autumn series. There is no need to know anything in advance — simply come as you are, bring your curiosity, and see what opens up.
